Tampnet is in need of more part-time employees for our Operations Centre at Hinna Park in Stavanger!

The Network Operations Centre (NOC) primarily serves the offshore industry and operates 24/7 on a rotating schedule that includes day, evening, and night shifts. The NOC is the hub of activity at Tampnet and you will work in a team that serves as the central point of contact for several departments including Subsea, Technology and Architecture, Solutions Implementation and Deployments and Engineering.

Tampnet prioritizes the continuous development of its employees, offering students a great opportunity to grow in various fields and within the company. The global operations team currently consists of 9 part-time and 15 full-time employees.

You will receive thorough training from the team, be assigned a mentor, and tasks will be adjusted based on your level of expertise.

Job requirements

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Monitor and operate network and telecommunications infrastructure

  • Proactively analyze data from various systems, investigate abnormalities, resolve or escalate findings

  • Perform operational procedures

  • Update documentation and internal systems

  • Receive, register, solve, and follow up on customer inquiries

  • Participate in project work

  • Preparation and testing of services

  • Collaborate in projects for the completion of infrastructure systems

Desired qualifications:

  • Ongoing technical education (university/college)

  • Advantageous to have relevant work experience (students or recent graduates are welcome to apply)

  • Certification or knowledge of ITIL

  • Operational experience with transmission, radio, IP/MPLS, and LTE networks is an advantage

  • Experience or knowledge of operating critical systems with high uptime requirements

Language: You must be fluent in Norwegian and have strong oral and written skills in English.
