Our business is growing, and we are looking for an Operations Engineer to join our Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Stavanger.

Job requirements

Main responsibility and tasks

  • Monitor and operate network & telecommunication infrastructure

  • Proactive analysis of data from performance systems, investigation of anomalies, resolve or escalate findings

  • Execute operational procedures

  • Update documentation and performance systems

  • Provisioning and testing of services

  • Interact in projects with commissioning of infrastructure systems

  • Contributing to Cyber Security related tasks and projects

  • Take part in the globalization with transiting NOC to GNOC

  • After the training period, once qualified to participate in the 2nd line on-call duty arrangement, working hours can vary as NOC operates 365/24/7. The estimated average is every 5th-week on-call with an extra compensation package.

  • Candidates who apply for the position will, in connection with the recruitment process, be subject to a background check and an assessment of this will be used as a basis for candidate selection. Required qualifications

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science or related

  • Ninjas in network and computer science with zero formal education can also apply

  • Strong verbal and written skills in both Norwegian and English

  • Experience in optical, radio, IP/MPLS or LTE networks is a benefit

  • Relevant experience may compensate for the requirement of education
