Job requirements

Main responsibility and tasks

  • Actively comply, enforce, and participate in Tampnet HSEQ policies and procedures

  • Assess safety and business risks associated with field activities

  • Represent Tampnet in a professional manner while following all customer policies

  • Read, understand, and follow detailed scopes of work for projects

  • Read, understand, and follow dispatch summaries of jobs

  • Ability to safely install equipment at heights following all industry standards and guidelines

  • Availability 24 hours per day on scheduled days of work

  • Ability to work shifts which include extended numbers of days per hitch

  • Manage processes through Tampnet sponsored software and accounting practices

  • Remain capable of supporting work through technical training

  • Work closely with support teams to ensure proper execution of the project

  • Travel to remote locations as needed via air, land, and sea

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts

  • Lead or participate in after-action reviews

  • Participate in emergency response team as necessary

  • Perform other technical tasks within his/her area of expertise

Qualification requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Minimum 2 years experience in offshore communications environment (preferred wireless telecommunications)

  • Maintain a valid US Driver’s License with a clean driving record

  • Maintain or be able to maintain TWIC Card

  • Ability to attend training as needed for travel by helicopter and boat to work locations

  • 1 year experience with fiber and RF test equipment preferred
