Job description

Tampnet, Inc. is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead and oversee the communications network services provided by Tampnet, Inc. and its subsidiaries in a manner that is efficient, beneficial to the Company, and compliant with guidelines from the Company’s Board of Directors.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and oversee the communications network services provided by Tampnet, Inc. and its subsidiaries in a manner that is efficient, beneficial to the Company, and compliant with guidelines from the Company’s Board of Directors

  • Serve as the Corporation’s highest authority and report to the Chairman of the Board.

  • Perform overall Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) and risk management within the Company and its subsidiaries.

  • Assume accountability for the Company’s financial performance, ensuring that their assets are utilized in an efficient and reliable manner with the goal of maximizing shareholder value.

  • Develop a well-defined long-term strategy for the Company and establish management processes and specific performance measures that support this long-term strategy.

  • Address the performance of the Company and its subsidiaries and make timely changes in strategy, structure, and resource allocations as appropriate.

  • Define long-term financial objectives for the Corporation and set annual goals that are consistent with the business strategy.

  • Establish and maintain appropriate systems that provide effective control of operations.

  • Lead the Corporation with a clearly defined direction and purpose.

  • Effectively communicate the Company’s vision and values to all employees and work to foster a culture of integrity throughout the organization.

  • Ensure programs are in place to retain and motivate a high-level management team, attracting new executives as necessary.

  • Identify and develop the Company’s next generation of senior managers and promote the development of effective recruitment, training, retention, and management programs for all employees.

  • Serve as the Corporation’s liaison for the industry and investor communities.

  • Define the strategic direction for safety, establish performance targets for operating businesses, and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.

  • Effectively engage in dialogue with environmental, social, government, and other stakeholder groups to understand their concerns and address them appropriately and efficiently.

  • Maintain effective working relationships, both collectively and individually, with the Board of Directors, keeping the Board fully informed on external and internal issues facing the Corporation.

  • Recommend policies for the Board’s consideration as appropriate.

  • International travel up to 30% required to London, UK; Stavanger, Norway; and Amsterdam, Netherlands to attend business meetings and oversee operations.

Job requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or closely related field.

  • Five (5) years of experience as a CEO or closely related position with engineering and strategic business leadership experience. 

    • The required five (5) years of experience must have included strategic development and implementation of long-term business plans in the telecom industry; overseeing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) risk mitigation and corporate governance frameworks; and engagement with stakeholders on Environmental, Social, and Governance priorities.
