Job requirements
The Business Controller will be essential in ensuring quality in reporting and decision support to our stakeholders in the business and play a key role in improving tools, systems and processes within Finance.
Main responsibility and tasks
Responsible for preparing the monthly management reports for North Sea, Carrier and Central Services in line with the agreed monthly reporting schedule and assisting with delivery of the complete monthly management report to the management team.
Responsible for preparing, implementing, and maintaining project cost control activities in major projects, and reporting of project cost vs budget and forecast included in the monthly management reports and in meetings with key stakeholders.
By providing strong financial support and expertise to our market unit leaders, you will develop tight relationships, both internally and externally. This includes, ensuring that finance procedures are adhered to by all stakeholders and take corrective actions when not.
Play a key role in ensuring quality and analysis of financial reporting.
Assist and develop financial analysis and reporting to Management and Board and others as relevant.
Participate in preparing, implementing, and maintaining budget formats and budget activities each year, including assisting budget responsible persons in analysing and preparing budgets.
Participate in preparing, implementing, and maintaining forecast formats and updates of forecasts each month, to be included in the monthly management reports and other as needed.
Continuously be involved in improving routines and processes.
Audit support as required alongside the Group Finance Manager.
Contribute to a positive work environment in the team/department.
Qualification requirements
Minimum 5-7 years relevant working experience
Master’s degree within Accounting, Finance or Audit
Fluent in Norwegian and English, oral and written
